Day 01: Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam (D)
On arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to hotel. Time permitting you’ll be introduced to Vietnamese cuisine at a decent restaurant.

Day 02: Hanoi City Tour (B)
This morning we visit the memorial complex to Ho Chi Minh to know his amazing life. Continue with the Single Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature to gain understanding of the two driving forces in Vietnam culture. Afternoon we visit a museum out of many at hand. Next drive a rickshaw through the lively Old Quarter, a series of 36 ancient streets where peddlers trade their wares the way they have done for centuries. Visit an old house in Ma May Street that’s typical of dwellings in the Old Town then walk through Hang Be market to the famed water puppet theatre for an evening show.

Day 03: Hanoi-Cuc Phuong National Park (B, L, D)
Today we are departing for Cuc Phuong Park in Ninh Binh, 160km south of Hanoi; Cuc Phuong is one of Vietnam's oldest and best managed national parks. Approximately 22, 000 ha of subtropical forest and karst limestone landscapes is home to an extraordinary range of unique species. Arriving at the park after 3 hours of driving, we’ll visit the Park Museum, the Botanical Garden, and the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre. The center is nurturing two of the rarest species in the world, the critically endangered Delacour and Cat Ba langurs. Later we’ll go observing birds gathering in the lush rain forest. Overnight at the park’s guest house. Optional to walk into the dark to view nocturnal animals.

Day 04: Cuc Phuong Park (B, L)
Awakened fresh by the sounds of the forest all around, we head out for a trek through the lush rainforest. The 20 km journey affords wonderful view of many rare birds, century old giant trees, and a feel of returning to the primordial time. Picnic lunch before we reach the Bong village of the ethnic Muong. Dinner and overnight at Bong center. Accommodation is a rustic bungalow.

Day 05: Cuc Phuong-Halong (B, L, D)
Say good bye to friendly villagers in Bong and depart for Halong, the greatest natural wonder in Northern Vietnam. Arriving Halong at around 12:00 we’ll board a nice junk and set sails. From the comfort of our very own 100–foot private sampan, we’ll spend the day exploring this incredible setting and discovering the many islands and inlets found in the bay made famous in the film Indochine. You can challenge yourself with kayaking and swimming. Vietnamese seafood lunch and dinner included. Overnight on board.

Day 06: Halong-Cat Ba (B, L)
This morning we sail away Halong to Lan Ha Bay and disembark at Cat Ba Island. Proceed just around 10 km by road to Cat Ba Park and start a winding trek through the dense rainforest. This insular park is home to about 2,000 species of fauna and flora. Pay your special attention to civet cats and oriental giant squirrels, and especially golden-headed langurs. They are highly endangered and rarely seen as fewer than 100 specimens are thought to survive in the wild. After lunch at the other end of the park, we’ll take a boat to Cat Ba town for the evening.

Day 07: Cat Ba-Haiphong-Hanoi-Hue (B)
Free till 2:00 PM and we’ll take a hydrofoil to Haiphong where we’ll be picked up and transferred to back to Hanoi for a flight to Hue. Meeting & greeting at Phu Bai airport, then transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 08: Hue-Bach Ma-Hue (B, L)
Today we experience another park of Vietnam on Bach Ma Mountain, 1400 m above sea level. We’ll trek 3 km into the primitive forest, enjoying the beauty of wilderness till we reach Do Quyen fall (Rhodendrum). Picnic lunch at the 300 meter high fall then visit Bao An Villa built by the last emperor of Vietnam and Ngu Ho, a cluster of 05 interlinked lakes, and the Ocean Observatory. Return to Hue for overnight.

Day 09: Hue City Tour – Hoian (B)
Pay a morning visit to the sights and sounds of Dong Ba market. Continue to the Imperial Citadel, the seat of the Nguyen Dynasty lasting 1802 and 1945. After the boastful mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, we’ll be leaving for Hoian, crossing Hai Van Pass, stopping off at the Museum of Cham Sculptures.

Day 10: Hoian City Tour (B)
This morning we explore the ancient town of Hoian, walking its cobble lanes, crossing the Japanese Covered Bridge, visiting Vietnamese merchant houses and Chinese Assembly Halls…etc, which remains much the same as it was in its heyday. Hoian ever served as one of the major seaports in Southeast Asia and drew traders from so far as Europe to for local merchandise. Ample time to browse for souvenirs as rest of the day will be at your leisure.

Day 11: Hoian-Danang – Saigon (B)
You’ll be transferred to Danang airport for a morning flight southwards to the most bustling city in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon as by the locals. This afternoon we take an orientation tour to experience the city’s landmarks such as the Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Saigon waterfront, Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi boulevards.

Day 12: Saigon -Nam Cat Tien (B, L, D)
We leave the husle and bustle of Saigon behind and drive to Nam Cat Tien Park, 170km away in Dong Nai province. Off the National Highway One, the road winds through vast rubber plantations stretching to near the park. This afternoon we go for a trek to the Heaven Waterfall and immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the jungle. This 70,000 hectare area is home to various species of giant trees and large wild animals such as the Asian elephant, bison and rhinoceros. An incredible diversity of birds, around 230 species, and mammals in the forest and wetland habitats of Nam Cat Tien, awaits us to name. Stay overnight in the park.

Day 13: Nam Cat Tien- Saigon (B, L)
Opt for a 4WD or a 6km walk through forest to the Crocodile Lake. Species that can be seen here include Green Peafowl by Crocodile Lake in the early morning or late afternoon, bronze-winged Jacana, Lesser Adjutant and Purple Heron. Be quiet and look out for Red and Black and Banded Broadbill, Orange-breasted Trogon and Pale-headed Woodpecker amongst others. After picnic lunch by the lake, drive back to Saigon for overnight.

Free till transfer to the airport for departure flight.
