Day 1: Siem Reap

Arrive into Siem Reap and be met by a friendly local guide before heading on to the hotel.

Day 2: Siem Reap – Helicopter Flight – Angkor Complex Tour

Board a helicopter and take to the skies above Angkor Wat in this memorable tour. See the magnificent 12th Century monument from the air and witness how vast it really is before touching down and exploring the sights close up on foot. Begin the walking tour with a visit to the South Gate of Angkor Thom where rows of statues – thought to represent good and evil – line the walkway. Next, head to Bayon to view the magnificent towers adorned with serene smiling faces carved into the rock face, take in the bas-reliefs (shallow stone carvings) that depict battles fought between the Khmers and the ancient Thai. Move on to Phimeanakas, a stunning ancient temple once used for religious rituals but now more likely to be used by local children for play. Climb to the top of the temple to take in spectacular panoramas of the complex. After a morning of exploration enjoy a secluded lunch for two at the nearby Srah Srang, a former bathing pool and now reservoir boasting a fantastic restaurant. The afternoon is time for exploration of the world-famous Angkor Wat, a massive three-tiered pyramid crowned with five lotus flowers and the jewel in the national crown. Finish a wonderful day by watching the sunset over the jungle from atop this spectacular monument.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Kompong Phluk

Take a thrilling tuk tuk ride and long tail boat ride to the beautiful and isolated community of Kompong Phluk. This fascinatingly rural place is accessed by boat through forests of mangrove trees overflowing with life (lookout for the charming macaque monkeys). Once on dry land, speak to the local villagers about life in this stilted community and witness the age-old processes of fishing and farming. Day 4: Siem Reap – Community Tour

Day 5: Siem Reap – Monk Blessing - Sihanoukville

Receive a monk’s blessing at one of Siem Reap’s best-known pagodas. This remarkable 30-minute ceremony is the perfect way to take in the rich, religious heritage of Cambodia. The short ceremony will include prayers, flowers, offerings and the gift of a symbolic red thread which is meant to bring good luck and prosperity. After a morning of ancient spirituality, board a flight to the glorious beachside town of Sihanoukville for a few days of utter bliss.

Day 6: Sihanoukville – Free Day

Explore, sunbathe or swim. This glorious beachside location boasts white sand, blue skies and turquoise waters. Swim, snorkel or take a boat trip to one of the small nearby islands for a secluded picnic. Choose your own itinerary for these next few days in paradise.

Day 7: Sihanoukville – Free Day
