Tour Plan

Day 01: Arrival in Bangkok (D)
Upon arrival you’ll be met and transferred to hotel for check-in and tour briefing. In the evening, enjoy welcome dinner featured by the Thai classical dances.

Day 02: Bangkok (B)
Today we explore the city praised “The Pearl of Southeast Asia”, taking in the best-known sights of Bangkok such as the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha Temple, the Reclining Buddha Image at Wat Po, Pak Klong Talad Flower Market. Afternoon we try a Tuk Tuk ride to the China Town to explore this ethnic quarter. End up the tour at Wat Trimit, home to the Golden Buddha. The remainder of the day will be at own disposal.

Day 03: Bangkok- Floating Market‐ Kanchanaburi (B, L)
Starting by 7:30, we drive southwards 110 km (for approximately 02 hours) to Rachaburi Province. Cruise past rural landscapes on your way to a long tail boat that will transport us on a thrilling journey through the famous Damnern Saduak floating market, amongst hundreds of other boat. Being the most popular in Thailand, Damnoen Saduak is great for photographing, tasting local food, and recalling a vanishing way of life. Experience shopping like a local as we navigate through a network of canals lined with traditional canoes topped with fruits, vegetables, sweets and meats. It’s possible to organize a ride on a local boat (at own expense) for a closer look. Next, we visit a handicrafts center where a plethora of local art works such as teakwood carvings, silk weavings, etc. can be seen. Continue to Kanchanaburi and experience a ride on the Death Railways. Following lunch, we visit the War Museum and the bridge over the River Kwai. The famous bridge was built in 1943 as part of a wartime project intended to connect Thai and Burmese railways lines to support Japanese occupation of Burma. At the end of the day, we transfer to the hotel in Kanchanaburi.

Day 04: Kanchanaburi-Ayutthaya-Bangkok (B, L)
This morning we drive to Ayutthaya, a former capital of Thailand. In Ayutthaya we’ll visit Bang Pa‐In, one of the most beautiful Summer Palaces in Asia. Next we continue to the Khmer Temple Wat Chai Wattanaram, Wat Phra Sri Sanpetch, the former Royal Temple of Viharn Mongkol Borphit, and Wat Mahathat that houses the head of Lord Buddha Image of Pho wood. We also visit Wat Ratchaburana, noted for the ornate vault and a large amount of the golden artifacts and treasures now being displayed in the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum. Return to Bangkok for the night.

Day 05: Bangkok-Chiang Mai (B, D)
We leave Bangkok and take a morning flight to Chiang Mai. Meet up with our local guide upon arrival and drive to the hotel. Next, we take a tuk tuk and drive through different parts of the city, passing markets, residential areas and Chiang Mai's main streets. This city tour includes many important and interesting temple grounds, such as Wat Phra Sing, Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Chiang Man, Wat Suan Dok, and especially the remarkable temple of Doi Su Thep. Located high on a mountain top, overlooking the city and lowlands, the air is cool and clear. On a sunny day, of which Chiang Mai has many, the brilliant gold leafed Buddha images make stunning photographic subjects. This evening, enjoy a superb Kantoke dinner combining great food with cultural entertainment.

Day 06: Chiang Mai Elephant Safari (B, L)
This morning we travel to Mae Taman Camp to visit elephants at works. Enjoy a ride on this giant’s back through the forest for 45 minutes. After lunch, hop on a bamboo raft and ride along the calm river Mae Tang for 1hr 30 min. Return to the camp by ox cart, captivating nice view of plantations & rice field. Visit a nursery orchid farm then return to town. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Free time provides opportunities to reveal the colours of the night market that Chiang Mai is famous for.

Day 07: Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai (B)
After breakfast, visit the Home Industry Centre to learn about Chiang Mai specialties including silk and hand-woven cotton, handmade umbrellas and paper products, teakwood-cravings, and many more! After lunch, drive to Chiang Rai with a short break at a hot spring park en route. We also visit Wat Rong Khun –a very impressive beautiful ornate delicate white stuccowork temple designed by the famous Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat.

Day 08: Chiang Rai-Chiang Mai (B)
Option 1: Travel to the Mae Tang north of Chiang Mai to get real close to the elephants. Watch the elephants demonstrate their skills before embarking on an elephant ride to a Lisu hill tribe village. Enjoy an ox-cart ride to the Mae Tang River where we board the bamboo rafts for a leisurely trip downstream. En route back to Chiang Mai we’ll call at a Thai Orchid and a butterfly farm. Option 2: After breakfast we set out towards Lampang province on a curvy road passing by mountainous sceneries. The destination is Lampang Elephant Conservation Centre by the Forestry Industrial Department of Thailand. At the Centre, watch the elephant perform various skills and enjoy a ride around the centre. Continue to Lampang city for lunch. Next, take a horse cart to Wat Sri Chum which was built back in 1890AD by a Burmese, boasting a mixture of Lanna Thai and Burmese style. Visit Baan Sao Nak, the house with hundreds of pillar, which shelters an impressive collection of antiques, and Wat Pong Sanook, a UNESCO-honoured temple. On the way back to Chiang Mai, a visit to the interesting market of Kard Baan Ta can be arranged at your wish.

Day 09: Chiang Mai-Bangkok-Departure (B)
Free until transfer to the airport for a flight back to Bangkok where we’ll connect to a flight out of Thailand.
