Day 2: Saigon – Tay Ninh – Saigon Your Vietnam photo tour begins this morning as you join your photography director to discover a unique and authentic Saigon. Then travel 40 miles west to Tay Ninh, the cradle of Caodaism, to participate in the spectacular Noon Ceremony at the uniquely Vietnamese Cao Dai Holy See. Lunch in Cu Chi followed by a visit to a nearby village before returning to Saigon.
Day 3: Saigon – Vinh Long – Can Tho Transfer to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta with a visit to Thien Hau Pagoda in Cho Lon (Chinatown) en route. Learn how to navigate small canals on a sampan in Vinh Long. Arrrive late this afternoon to Can Tho, capital of the Mekong Delta region.
Day 4: Can Tho – Saigon – Danang – Hoian Explore Cai Rang floating market on private boat at daybreak. Transfer to Saigon and board a short flight to Da Nang. Your visit to Hoi An, one of the most enchanting towns in Vietnam, takes place during the Lantern Festival, when the town turns off its street lamps and fluorescent lights, leaving the Old Quarter bathed in the warm glow of colorful paper lanterns.
Day 5: Hoian Sunrise excursion to My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to explore the ruins of the ancient Champa Empire which ruled South and Central Vietnam until 17th century. After lunch at Brother's cafe in Hoi An, continue your guided visit to this quaint medieval town.
Day 6: Hoian – Danang – Lang Co Beach Early photo shoot at the fish market and visit to lantern workshop. Afternoon transfer to Lang Co. Enjoy the scenic drive between Da Nang and Lang Co through the Hai Van Pass with a visit to the Marble Mountain en route. It’s known as one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world, during which we will stop at our leisure to enjoy the scenery. Arrive to Lang Co in time to enjoy the sunset.
Day 7: Lang Co - Hue Capture gorgeous images of Lang Co at sunrise and pay a visit to the local villagers before continuing with our scenic drive to Hue. Upon arrival, begin our visits to the Citadel in the old city, the Flag Towel, Ngo Mon (Noon gate) and the Forbidden City, the former home of the Royal family before 1945.
Day 8: Hue Set out on a boat trip along the Perfume River to see Hue's oldest pagoda, Thien Mu. Then journey to the palatial royal tombs of Minh Mang and Tu Duc.
Day 9: Hue – Hanoi Morning flight to Hanoi. Visits include: Old Quarter, Temple of Literature. Dinner followed by the Water Puppet Show. You’ll get to see the artists perform behind the stage.
Day 10: Hanoi – Halong Journey to Ha Long and embark on a deluxe junk and cruise the bay. Enjoy the stunning seascape and visit the floating population.
Day 11: Halong – Hanoi – Night Train to Lao Cai Enjoy sunrise on the bay and morning cruising. Before leaving Ha Long, marvel at a sweeping view of the bay when you climb up on the Bai Tho Mountain. Return to Hanoi late afternoon and board a night train to Lao Cai in the Far North.
Day 12: Lao Cai - Sapa – Ta Van – Cat Cat Arrive at Lao Cai early in the morning. Breakfast at hotel and early check-in. A pleasant trek this afternoon will take you along ancient buffalo paths and trails and through Cat Cat and Ta Van villages, home to the Black Hmong and Dzay people. Discover the region’s striking landscape and meet friendly villagers along the way. Descend to the valley floor and you’ll find yourself surrounded by the valley walls covered with multi-layered terraced rice fields. Late afternoon, climb to Ham Rong Mountain for a panoramic view of Sapa at sunset.
Day 13: Sapa – Can Cau – Bac Ha The 50-mile scenic mountain drive this morning will take you to Can Cau (via Bac Ha) in time for its weekly market. Set amidst mountains and green forests near the Chinese border, Can Cau market is smaller in scale but very colorful compared to other markets in Lao Cai Province. Here you’ll find mainly the Flower Hmong minority with their beautiful embroidered dress and head gear. Visit Can Cau and you will experience a typical, rural market of the hill tribes. Thanks to its remote location, the market is still largely untouched by tourism, preserving historic authenticity. Transfer to Bac Ha for lunch and hotel check-in. In the afternoon, take a relaxing trek on a mountain path to Ban Pho village, home of the Flower Hmong. You saw them at the market this morning, now visit their homes and learn about their daily activities, customs and traditions.
Day 14: Bac Ha – Lao Cai – Hanoi This morning you’ll visit the famed Bac Ha Sunday market, by far the largest and most colorful market in the Sapa Region. Here, you’ll see many minority groups from the neighboring villages and hamlets – the Flower Hmong, Dao, Giay, Han (Hoa), Xa Fang, Lachi, Nung, Phula, Thai and Thulao – gather on Sundays to trade, eat, drink and socialize. Their beautiful, distinctive dress in rich colors is a feast for your eyes (and camera). After lunch, travel back to Lao Cai by way of the Chay River. Enjoy this majestic landscape and occasional visits to some remote villages which can only be accessed by boat. Upon arrival at Lao Cai, board our night train back to Hanoi.
Day 15: Hanoi Our train arrives in Hanoi early in the morning. Transfer to the hotel for breakfast and enjoy a half day use of the facility. Our hotel is located in the heart of the Old Quarter, so you can venture out on foot to explore the area at your own pace, sample local cuisine or catch up with last minute souvenir shopping.
Day 16: Departure You will be assisted with transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Day 2: Saigon (B) Today, cameras in hand, we set out for a Saigon City tour. We’ll make images of many of Saigon’s icons including the ornate Hotel de Ville, the Opera House, the Dong Khoi Street shopping area of the French colonial period, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the spectacular Central Post Office. We will also view Reunification Palace from the outside, and then shoot the activities at Binh Tay Market as well as the worshiping at the Cantonese Thien Hau pagoda in Cho Lon – widely known as Saigon’s Chinatown. After our first full day photographing we’ll return to our hotel for resting
Day 3: Saigon- My Tho - Ben Tre (120 km, B) Depart for My Tho where we take a boat to Cai Mon bonsai village. This village is a kingdom of plants and flowers tended by skilled artisans. Late afternoon we proceed to to Ben Tre for overnight accommodation.
Day 4: Ben Tre - Soc Trang (130 km, B) Begin a wonderful day with picturesque boat trip to Turtle Island to visit fruitful orchards, family workshops producing candies and handicrafts from coconut. Drive to Soc Trang with stops to visit the beautiful Doi (Bats) and Dat Set (Clay) pagodas. Overnight in Soc Trang.
Day 5: Soc Trang - Bac Lieu - Ca Mau (130 km, B) Morning visit architectural landmarks of Soc Trang, including several Khmer pagodas and a complex of well-preserved colonial buildings. Next we drive to Bac Lieu and visit a Bird Sanctuary. Proceed to Ca Mau, the southern tip of Vietnam, a land of mangrove swamps.
Day 6: Ca Mau - Rach Gia - Hon Chong (180 km, B) Take a boat through the immense mangrove forest of Nam Can. Afternoon we transfer overland to Rach Gia town, then to Hon Chong peninsula. The ride offers great view of the coastal scapes along the way.
Day 7: Hon Chong - Ha Tien - Chau Doc (Around 100 km, B) Drive to Ha Tien and sightsee this vibrant border town. In the afternoon drive along Vinh Te border canal to Tinh Bien, followed by a ride up the sacred Sam Mountain with its panoramic view over the vast plains of the Mekong Delta and far into Cambodia.
Day 7: Chau Doc – Long Xuyen - Can Tho (125 km, B) A morning boat trip to a floating village. Continue overland to Can Tho via Long Xuyen. In Can Tho take a spin around the Ninh Kieu quay bustling with Hau River life.
Day 8: Can Tho- Saigon (175 km, B) This morning, very early, a boat-ride visit to the extraordinary river market of Cai Rang. Famous as one of the largest on the complex of water-ways that comprise the Mekong Delta, this market provides exotic fruits and vegetables for a vast market. The boat tour will be capped off with a visit to My Khanh Village, a genuine working Delta village that is typical of the region. In the afternoon, we return to Saigon, utilizing one of the remaining Danish Ferries to cross the Delta’s river system.
Day 9: Saigon – Mui Ne (B) After breakfast we will travel north to Mui Ne. Arrive in Mui Ne early in the afternoon we will take a good rest before shooting Mui Ne boat harbour at sunset, which with its bevy of fishing boats, is particularly scenic.
Day 10: Mui Ne (B) We will arise early to photograph the local fisherman returning to the beach with their catch. You are then free to explore and photograph at your leisure or just relax on the beach. In the afternoon, we will visit Phu Hai Orphanage before enjoying the late afternoon light at Phan Thiet Boat Harbour.
Day 11: Mui Ne - Dalat (B) We will arise early and travel to the white sand dunes for the sunrise. After breakfast, we will head north to Phan Rang/Thap Cham to visit Po Klong Garai, a group of Cham towers from the 13th century. We will have lunch before continuing our journey to Da Lat, stopping briefly at the top of Ngoan Muc Pass. Stops will be provided along the way to photograph the interesting villages that we pass.
Day 12: Dalat (B) Today we visit Da Lat Railway Station, regarded as the most beautiful in Indochina, where we will enjoy a short train ride to Linh Phuoc Pagoda. After spending some time exploring the pagoda and surrounding village we will make our way to Truc Lam Zen Monastery. In the afternoon we visit Lat village prior to transferring by jeep to the summit of Lang Biang Mountain. On our return journey we will visit XQ embroidery village. After dinner we will walk around Da Lat to do some night photography.
Day 12: Dalat – Lak Lake (B) We will arise early to photograph Central Market before commencing our journey to Lak Lake, stopping on the way to visit a silk worm factory at Nam Ban Town. After lunch we will continue to Jun, a M’nong ethnic minority village next to Lak Lake where we will photograph the sunset over Lak Lake.
Day 13: Lak Lake – Buon Ma Thuot (B) We will arise early to photograph the local fisherman with their unique method of fishing. After breakfast we will enjoy a leisurely elephant ride to a minority village before commencing our journey to Buon Ma Thuot, stopping to photograph a church that was destroyed during the war. Once we reach Buon Ma Thuot, we make our way to Dray Sap/Dray Nur Waterfalls where we will have a relaxing afternoon exploring the area at our leisure. We return to Buon Ma Thuot for the night.
Day 14: Buon Ma Thuot – Nha Trang (B) Today we make our way back to the coast. During our journey we will pass many villages, offering numerous photographic opportunities. On reaching the coast, the mountainous villages are replaced by coastal fishing villages. On arrival in Nha Trang, you are free to explore or relax at your leisure.
Day 15: Nha Trang (B) We will arise early to photograph fishing boats returning from sea at sunrise on Xom Bong Bridge over the Cai River. After breakfast we enjoy a relaxing day on the water as we cruise around the islands off the coast. There will be plenty of time for swimming and snorkelling on some of the coral reefs that surround these islands as well as generally lazing around on the deck of the boat. Local seafood will be served for lunch. Late afternoon we will visit a traditional Vietnamese country house before enjoy a leisurely cruise along the Cai River finishing up at Xom Bong Bridge, where we will visit Po Ngar Cham Towers at sunset.
Day 16: Nha Trang – Quy Nhon (B)
Day 17: Quy Nhon - Hoian (B) This morning we make our way to Da Nang, then continue our journey to Hoian. On arrival at Hoian, we will check into our hotel. After lunch we enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An, visiting ancient homes, pagodas and the Japanese Bridge. After dinner you are free to explore and photograph Hoi An at night, with its beautiful lanterns.
Day 18: Hoian (B) After breakfast, you are free to explore the town at your leisure or for those who are interested; a cooking class will be offered to give you a much deserved break from photography. Late afternoon we will enjoy photographing local school girls wearing their traditional white school uniforms (Ao Dai) before photographing the sunset over Hoi An.
Day 19: Hoian – Hue (B) We will walk to Cam Nam Bridge and photograph the sunrise with boats travelling up and down the Thu Bon River. There will also be an opportunity to photograph a local fisherman attending his fishing net. After breakfast, we travel to My Son, a world heritage series of ruins remaining from the Champa Kingdom which flourished from the 400AD to 1200AD. We will then commence our journey to Hue, where we will check into our hotel.
Day 20: Hue (B) Today we will take a Dragon Boat trip to Thien Mu Pagoda followed by a visit to Minh Mang’s Tomb. We then return to Hue for lunch before visiting Tu Duc's Tomb and a handicraft village where incense sticks and Vietnamese hats are made. Late afternoon we will travel to Vong Canh Hill to photograph the Perfume River during sunset.
Day 21: Hue – Hanoi (B) This morning we will depart very early to visit Thuan An to photograph a wet markets and fishing village. After breakfast we visit the Imperial Citadel where Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, with numerous attractions such as the Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City. After lunch we make our way to the airport for our flight to Ha Noi. In the evening we will be entertained by the world famous Thang Long Water Puppet Show.
Day 22: Hanoi – Lao Cai (B) We rise early to go to Hoan Kiem Lake where we will photograph locals meditating, doing tai chi, exercising and playing badminton. You are then free to relax or explore Hanoi at your leisure. Late afternoon visit a local Bia Hoi restaurant to try the locally brewed draft beer before enjoying a relaxing cyclo ride around the old quarter of Ha Noi. After dinner we board our overnight train to Lao Cai.
Day 23: Lao Cai – Muong Hum Market Sapa (B) After breakfast we will commence our journey to the remote Muong Hum markets. Here we will see Red Dao, Ha Nhi and other colourful ethnic minorities buying and selling local produce. Afterwards we make our way to Sa Pa where the afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. In the evening we travel to Tram Ton Pass (Heaven’s Gate) for the sunset.
Day 24: Sapa (B) Today we will trek down the mountain to Ta Van village. Along the way we will photograph the magnificent terraced rice fields and local minority people going about their day-to-day activities. After an enjoyable lunch you are free to explore the village at your leisure, walking around and taking photographs of the population and landscape. Tonight our accommodation will be a homestay in Ta Van village.
Note: For travelers who are unable to do this trek, an alternative program will be available including transport to Ta Van village or additional night accommodation in Sa Pa.
Day 25: Sapa - Hanoi (B) This morning we will arise early to photograph the sunrise over terraced rice fields and minority people commencing their daily activities. After breakfast, we commence our day by walking through the villages and terraced rice fields, making our way back to the main road and transport. We will return to Sa Pa where we will have some free time to explore the town. Late afternoon we commence our return journey to Lao Cai for dinner. After dinner we will board the overnight train to Ha Noi.
Day 26: Hanoi – Ninh Binh (B) On arrival in Hanoi, we will freshen up and have breakfast at a local restaurant. After breakfast, we will travel to West Lake where we will visit Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. We then enjoy a 2 hour walking tour in the old quarter, photographing the shops, street life and people going about their day-to-day activities. After lunch we commence our journey south to Van Long before enjoying a boat trip through Kenh Ga Floating Village.
Day 27: Ninh Binh – Halong Bay (B) This morning we will enjoy a 2 hour boat cruise through Van Long Nature Reserve boasting breathtaking scenery. The boats will float through mountains with intriguing names such as Meo Cao (scratching cat), Co Tien (lady fairy), Mo Coi (orphan) and Hon Sach (book); each of these names are rooted in old Vietnamese legends and folk tales. We will then commence our journey to Ha Long City, stopping at Thai Binh for lunch. Stops will be provided along the way to photograph rural life.
Day 28: Halong Bay (B,L) We will arise early to photograph the sunrise and visit the local fish market. After breakfast we board our private boat for a relaxing day cruising around Ha Long Bay. We will visit Hang Dau Go (Grotto of the Wooden Stakes) and photograph the bay and floating villages. In the afternoon, we will climb up to the peak of Ti Top Island for a panoramic view of Ha Long bay before enjoying a seafood lunch on the boat. We will then be transferred to Cat Ba Town by bus where we will have time to photograph the sunset over the harbor.
Day 29: Halong – Hanoi (B) This morning we will enjoy and photograph Cat Ba Harbour in the splendid morning light. After breakfast, we transfer back to our boat for our journey back to the shore. Once again enjoy the magnificent scenery of Ha Long Bay. We then start our journey back to Hanoi. At night will be entertained by a traditional Ca Tru show.
Day 30: Hanoi - Departure (B) After breakfast, we explore the local streets with a model, taking advantage of the morning light. We then make our way to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first University dating back to 1070 AD. Our model will once again accompany us whilst we explore the a

Day 1: Arrival in Saigon (D) On arrival in Vietnam, we check into our hotel in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Sai Gon. After freshening up, we will go to a local restaurant for dinner.
Day 2: Saigon-Mui Ne (B,L,D) We will arise early to visit 23/9 Park where people will be going about their morning exercise. After breakfast we will travel to Cholon to visit Binh Tay market and Thien Hau Pagoda, a 150 year old Chinese Temple. We then travel north to Mui Ne. In the evening we will photograph Mui Ne boat harbour at sunset, which with its bevy of fishing boats, is particularly scenic.
Day 3: Mui Ne (B,D) We will arise early to photograph the local fisherman returning to the beach with their catch. After dinner you are free to explore and photograph Hoi An at night, with its beautiful lanterns.
Day 11: Hoian (B,D) We will arise early and enjoy a boat trip up Thu Bon River and around Hoi An markets near Duong Hoang Van Thu Dock. After breakfast, you are free to explore the town at your leisure or for those who are interested; a cooking class will be offered to give you a much deserved break from photography. You are then free to relax or explore Hanoi at your leisure. Late afternoon visit a local Bia Hoi restaurant to try the locally brewed draft beer before enjoying a relaxing cyclo ride around the old quarter of Ha Noi. After dinner we board our overnight train to Lao Cai.
Day 16: Lao Cai-Muong Hum Market-Sapa (B,L,D) After breakfast we will commence our journey to the remote Muong Hum markets. Here we will see Red Dao, Ha Nhi and other colorful ethnic minorities buying and selling local produce. Afterwards we make our way to Sa Pa where the afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. In the evening we travel to Tram Ton Pass (Heaven’s Gate) for the sunset.
Day 17: Sapa (B,L,D) Today we will trek down the mountain to Ta Van village. Along the way we will photograph the magnificent terraced rice fields and local minority people going about their day-to-day activities. After an enjoyable lunch in the village you are free to explore the village and walk around and photograph the local minority people and terraced landscape at your leisure. Tonight our accommodation will be a home stay in Ta Van village.
Note: For travelers who are unable to do this trek, an alternative program will be arranged.
Day 18: Sapa-Hanoi (B,D) This morning we will arise early to photograph the sunrise over terraced rice fields and minority people commencing their daily activities. After breakfast, we commence our day by walking through the villages and terraced rice fields, making our way back to the main road and transport. We will return to Sa Pa where we will have some free time to explore the town. Late afternoon we commence our return journey to Lao Cai for dinner. After dinner we will board the overnight train to Ha Noi.
Day 19: Hanoi-Ninh Binh (B,L,D) On arrival in Hanoi, we will freshen up and have breakfast at a local restaurant. After breakfast, we will travel to West Lake where we will visit Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. We then enjoy a 2 hour walking tour in the old quarter, photographing the shops, street life and people going about their day-to-day activities. After lunch we commence our journey south to Van Long before enjoying a boat trip through Kenh Ga Floating Village.
Day 20: Ninh Binh-Halong (B,L,D) This morning we will enjoy a 2 hour boat cruise through Van Long Nature Reserve boasting breathtaking scenery. The boats will float through mountains with intriguing names such as Meo Cao (scratching cat), Co Tien (lady fairy), Mo Coi (orphan) and Hon Sach (book); each of these names are rooted in old Vietnamese legends and folk tales. We will then commence our journey to Ha Long City, stopping at Thai Binh for lunch. Stops will be provided along the way to photograph rural life.
Day 21: Halong (B,L,D) We will arise early to photograph the sunrise and visit the local fish market. After breakfast we board our private boat for a relaxing day cruising around Ha Long Bay. We will visit Hang Dau Go (Grotto of the Wooden Stakes) and photograph the bay and floating villages. In the afternoon, we will climb up to the peak of Ti Top Island for a panoramic view of Ha Long bay before enjoying a seafood lunch on the boat. We will then be transferred to Cat Ba Town by bus where we will have time to photograph the sunset over the harbor.
Day 22: Halong-Hanoi (B,L,D) This morning we will enjoy and photograph Cat Ba Harbour in the splendid morning light. After breakfast, we transferred back to our boat for our journey back to the shore. Once again enjoy the magnificent scenery of Ha Long Bay. We then start our journey back to Hanoi. At night will be entertained by a traditional Ca Tru show.
Day 23: Departure (B,L) After breakfast, we explore the local streets with a model, taking advantage of the morning light. We then make our way to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first University dating back to 1070 AD. Our model will once again accompany us whilst we explore the gardens and architecture. We then proceed to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch we make our way to the airport for our departure flight

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN HA NOI (D) On arrival at Hanoi airport, we will be transferred to our hotel where we will freshen up before venturing out to explore the night life of the city. We will have a brief discussion about the tour during dinner before returning to the hotel for the night.
Day 2: HANOI – NGHIA LO (B/L/D) We will arise early to go to Hoan Kiem Lake where we will be able to photograph early risers meditating, doing tai chi, exercising and playing badminton. After breakfast we will board our bus and make our way to Duong Lam Village, famous for having approximately 300 houses build three to four centuries ago. We then continue our our journey to Nghai Lo where we will begin to witness the spectacular mountainous scenery of North-West Vietnam and colourful ethnic minority people.
Day 3: NGHIA LO – THAN UYEN (B/L/D) We will arise early to explore the township of Nghia Lo as the locals commence their daily activities as well as the local markets. After breakfast we commence our trip to Than Uyen with numerous stops along the way to photograph the local minority people and the golden colored terraced rice fields.
Day 4: THAN UYEN – SA PA (B/L/D) We will arise early to photograph the town of Than Uyen as it awakes. After breakfast we commence our journey to Sa Pa stopping to visit a Lu minority village and Black Dao minority village. After lunch we will visit a tea plantation before commencing our drive up Tram Ton pass, the highest mountain pass in Vietnam.
Day 5: SA PA (B/D) After an intensive start to the tour, you will have a free day to explore the township of Sa Pa, a town that offers numerous photographic opportunities as well as great cafés and bars to relax. For those who are really energetic, climb Ham Rong Mountain (Botanical Gardens) to photograph Sa Pa in the early morning light. At the top of the mountain you can discover and photograph unique rock formations discovered in 1925.
Day 6: SA PA (B/L/D) Today we will trek down the mountain to Ta Van village. Along the way we will photograph the magnificent terraced rice fields and local minority people going about their day-to-day activities. After an enjoyable lunch at our homestay, you are free to explore the village. We will photograph the sunset over the terraced rice fields at our leisure.
Day 7: SA PA – LUNG KHAU NHIN MARKET – BAC HA (B/L/D) This morning we will arise early to commence our 3 hour journey to Lung Khau Nhin Market which is one of the most untouched markets in North Vietnam. Here we will observe and photograph Nung, Flower H’Mong, Black Dao and Dzay minority people buying and selling their local produce. After spending the morning casually strolling around and photographing the markets, we make our way to Bac Ha, where we will visit a Flower H’Mong Village.
Day 8: BAC HA – HA GIANG (B/L/D) We will arise early to commence our long journey to Ha Giang, through stunning countryside with valleys and mountains opening up on all sides and then along the remote Chay River Valley. During the trip, we may see Flower H’Mong, Nung, Co Lao, Red Dao, Dao Ao Dai, La Chi Pa Then and White H’Mong minority people going about their daily lives. Stops will be provided along the way for photography. We will enjoy another homestay in a Tay minority village, regarded as one of the best in the world.
Day 9: HA GIANG – QUAN BA – DONG VAN (B/L/D) Today we will experience a spectacular day of driving through amazing mountainous landscapes nestled up against the border with China. About 50km’s out of Ha Giang, the road zigzags its way up the amazing Quan Ba Pass eventually providing a spectacular view over Quan Ba town and the surrounding countryside. Opportunities to take photographs will be provided along the way. We end our day’s journey at Dong Van, an isolated town atop a small hill. Dong Van is very beautiful with mountains, forests, hidden grottoes and multi-coloured orchid forests.
Day 10: DONG VAN – MEO VAC (B/L/D) We arise early to visit and photograph Dong Van market. After a late breakfast we commence our journey down Ma Pi Leng pass, providing us with what is regarded as the most stunning scenery in North Vietnam. We eventually descend into a beautiful valley that encloses Meo Vac where we will visit the local market before having lunch. In the afternoon we visit a local Lo Lo minority village.
Day 11: MEO VAC – CAO BANG (B/L/D) We arise early to visit and photograph Meo Vac as the town awakens. After breakfast we will commence our journey to Cao Bang, stopping to photograph the mountainous scenery and minority villages.
Day 12: CAO BANG – BAN GIOC WATERFALL – CAO BANG (B/L/D) This morning we will make our way to the beautiful Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Chinese border. The picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53m high and has an impressive span of 300m. The drive there and back also offers unique landscapes with limestone karst formations soaring from the rice paddies of the surrounding farms of local ethnic minorities. We will stop on our return trip to photograph waterwheels, which are only found in this part of Vietnam.
Day 13: CAO BANG – LANG SON - HA LONG CITY (B/L/D) We will arise early to photograph Cao Bang as it awakes. After breakfast we will commence our long journey to Ha Long City stopping for lunch and a well earned break at Lang Son. After eating at a local restaurant we will continue our journey to Ha Long City. Photographic stops will be provided as opportunities present themselves.
Day 14: HA LONG BAY – CAT BA ISLAND (B/L/D) We will arise early to visit and photograph the local fish market. After breakfast, we board the boat and commence our full day cruise of Ha Long Bay. We will visit Surprising Cave and photograph the bay, floating villages and fish farms. In the afternoon, we will climb up to the peak of Ti Top Island for a panoramic view of Ha Long bay. We will then make our way to Cat Ba where we will check into our hotel. You are then free to explore Cat Ba Island and photograph the sunset over the harbor.
Day 15: CAT BA – HANOI (B/L/D) We will arise early to photograph the sunrise over Cat Ba harbour. After breakfast, we board our boat and casually make our way back to Ha Long City where our buses will be waiting for us. We then commence our journey to Hanoi. At night will be entertained by a traditional Ca Tru show.
Day 16: DEPARTURE (B) After breakfast we will commence a 2 hour walking tour of the old quarter, photographing the shops, street life and people going about their day-to-day activities. We then visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnams first University dating back to 1070 AD. A model will accompany us this morning. We then proceed to a local restaurant for lunch.. After lunch we will transfer to Noi Bai Airport for departure flight

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN SAIGON (D) On arrival at Saigon airport, we will be transferred to our hotel where we will freshen up before venturing out to explore the night life of the city. We will have a brief discussion about the tour and enjoy dinner before returning to the hotel for the night.
Day 2: SAIGON – LONG XUYEN (B,L,D) After exploring Thien Hau, a 150 year old Chinese Temple and Binh Tay market in Cho Lon we commence our journey to the Mekong Delta, where we will take a boat trip to witness and photograph the peaceful and tranquil life of the villages up close. After lunch, we make our way to Sa Dec to photograph brick kilns then Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary, home to literally thousands of storks that return each evening to roost. Here we will also get the opportunity to photograph the local people on the water. We end our day in Long Xuyen where we will check into our hotel.
Day 3: LONG XUYEN – RACH GIA (B,L,D) We arise early and take a boat trip to visit the local floating markets where we will photograph locals trading their goods. Afterwards we visit a floating village which will offer some unique photography of their houses and lifestyle. After checking out of our hotel, we commence our journey to Rach Gia, stopping to photograph people going about their daily activities. In Rach Gia we will visit the local fishing port before photographing the setting sun over the ocean.
Day 4: RACH GIA – PHU QUOC ISLAND (B/L/D) We will arise early to catch our short flight to Phu Quoc Island. After checking into our hotel, we venture out to explore the colourful fishing villages of the island, tropical beaches and a fish sauce factory. After lunch and a swim at a local beach resort, we make our way back to the hotel, visiting a pearl gallery and Dinh Cau Temple. There will be opportunities to photograph the setting sun over the ocean as we return.
Day 5: PHU QUOC ISLAND – RACH GIA (B/L/D) We arise early to drive to the fishing village of Ham Ninh, where we will photograph the sunrise over the water and long wharf as well as fishing boats returning with their overnight catch. Afterwards we visit tranquil Suoi Tranh waterfall before being overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of Duong Dong Town market. We then catch our short return flight to Rach Gia. Late afternoon we will explore the town of Rach Gia and photograph the sunset.
Day 6: RACH GIA – HA TIEN (B/L/D) We will arise early to photograph Rach Gia as it commences the new day. After breakfast we make our way along the coast to Ha Tien, stopping along the way to photograph the beaches, villages, Hon Phu Tu (Father and Son Rocks) and also an estuary crammed with blue fishing boats. In the afternoon we will explore and photograph Ha Tien with its shuttered terraces, crumbling colonial buildings and mats of seafood drying in the sun, before enjoying our last sunset over the ocean.
Day 7: HA TIEN – CHAU DOC (B/L/D) This morning we will arise early to photograph the township of Ha Tien and local market. We then make our way to Chau Doc, following the Cambodian border. Along our journey we will stop to photograph vast fields of rice, a buddist monastery, local villages with their handicrafts and Tra Su Forest. There will be an opportunity to photograph the sunset over the water on the final stage of our day’s journey to Chau Doc.
Day 8: CHAU DOC (B/L/D) We will arise early to take a boat trip to photograph the local floating houses and boats. Crossing the river we visit a Cham Minority Village with its small Muslim population. Central Market is our next destination, where we will get an opportunity to photograph the local wares and people going about their daily shopping. We then visit some of the local temples and pagodas before enjoying the sunset from Sam Mountain.
Day 9: CHAU DOC – PHNOM PENH (B/L/D) This morning we will say goodbye to Vietnam and commence our 4 ½ hour boat journey up the Mekong River to Phnom Penh. In the afternoon we will visit Wat Lang Ka, a thriving Buddhist temple with many saffron-robed monks followed by the National Museum of Cambodia in preparation for our time in Siem Reap and the Angkor complex.
Day 10: PHNOM PENH (B/L/D) We arise early to visit Central Market to discover and photograph the locals going about their daily business as well as the unusual goods for sale. Afterwards we make our way to the old French Quarter with its Colonial style Post Office and architecture followed by Wat Phrom, the most important temple in Phnom Penh. In the afternoon we visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.
Day 11: PHNOM PENH – BARAY (B/L/D) After breakfast we commence our morning journey to Baray where we will experience a homestay in a Khmer village. Stops will be provided along the way to photograph the locals going about their daily lives and Khmer temples. After lunch we enjoy a pony cart ride as well as visit local villages to gain an insight into the life of the Khmer people.
Day 12: BARAY - SIEM REAP(B/L/D) We arise early to commence our drive to Kompong Khleang where we will take a boat through a village of stilted houses to Tonle Sap Lake. We continue by boat to Kompong Phlukt, passing floating villages and enjoying lunch and some fresh local fruit. On arrival we will explore the stilted village by foot before making our way to Siem Reap. Tonight we enjoy an Apsara show during dinner.
Day 13: SIEM REAP (B/D) This morning we will arise very early (approx. 4.30am) for sunrise at Angkor Wat. After exploring and photographing Angkor Wat, we return to the hotel to rest during the heat of midday. In the afternoon we will visit Angkor Thom, taking the local transport call Tuk Tuk. Here we will visit Bayon located in the centre of Angkor Thom, which is the most visited site after Angkor Wat. We will also visit Baphoun, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Day 14: SIEM REAP (B/D) This morning we will arise early to visit Ta Phrom, where the ruins are being overrun by the jungle. After spend a few hours photographing we will make our way to the quieter but similar ruins of Banteay Kdei. We then visit Ta Keo before making our way back to hotel to rest during the heat of the day. In the afternoon we will visit Preah Khan.
Day 15: DEPARTURE (B/L) This morning we will arise early to visit Banteay Srei. The delightful temple of Banteay Srei has some of the most spectacular carvings of all of the Angkor Temples. Afterwards we will visit Banteay Samre – featuring elaborate architecture, exceptional carvings, and uniquely, two moats within the complex itself. We will then return to prepare for our departure flight
