  This morning we’ll be on foot exploring the ancient quarter of Hoian, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site because of its historic role in international trade, unusually well-preserved ancient streets and homes. Sites include the Japanese Bridge, a Sino-Vietnamese merchant house, a Chinese Temple, the Central Market, and the Culture Museum. There’ll be time for independent exploration and shopping opportunities.

• Hoian (B, L)

  Hop on a boat around 8:00 AM and head for Cu Lao Cham, a cluster of small but highly charming islands. Delve deeply into the beauty of crystal water all, pristine sugar-white beaches and refreshing springs such as Ong Beach, Bim Beach, Chong Beach, Bac Beach, Tinh spring, Ong spring and so on. Not just relaxation, there is also a chance to do fishing. Snorkel for a view of some of hundreds of coral species under water. Lunch on the island then go to Lang Beach to see Au Thuyen, a shelter for boats in bad weather, Tay Tang pagoda, Whale Temple - a place for worshipping a whale buried right there. The excursion ends around 3:00 PM
